The award is presented annually by Wale Apparatus Company for the outstanding technical poster presentation at an American Scientific Glassblowers Society Symposium.   Lori won for her poster at last year's symposium entitled, "Recommended Personal Protective Equipment for Hydrofluoric Acid Cleaning and Etching".   From Lori: "Upon hearing of a minor burn suffered by a fellow glassblower last year, I was spurred to remind my colleagues of the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). I personally know three people who have been burnt and one of them does not have all of his digits now. My younger brother also suffered a significant HF burn. With immediate emergency care at Crozier-Chester burn center in Philadelphia, PA, he has fortunately fully recovered."  Congratulations to Lori and a heartfelt thank you for your dedication to the promotion of safety in our shop and in your field.  Great work!
