With the assistance of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the Dietrich School has fostered the development of its helium recovery program, culminating in the creation Pitt Cryogenics, an internal supplier of cryogenic gases for research purposes.  We currently serve customers in the Departments of Physics and Astronomy, Geology and Environmental Science, and Chemistry and are proud to be a part of Pitt's focus on sustainability by helping to conserve this valuable nonrenewable resource.
