In March of 2015, Pitt Cryogenics and the Levy lab entered new waters for the University in the 21^st century by recovering and recycling used helium from cryogenic experiments.   Recovery operations have since expanded to include the Frolov, Snoke, and Petek labs in our efforts to cut costs for our researchers and conserve this important nonrenewable resource.
