Our shop personnel provides training and supervision for the Dietrich School Student Machine Shop located in NPL.  Access to the shop is only granted to qualified Dietrich School research personnel who have completed the machine shop safety and training course taught by our staff.  Access in on a machine by machine basis.  The shop is available for 24/7 key card access on the buddy system only.   Anyone found to be in violation of any safety protocol, including using the shop without a buddy, will lose access to the shop.  To see if your PI-sponsored research project can qualify for access to the shop, please speak with Tom Gasmire, our shop supervisor.
