Description

The SP8 is a fully automated upright laser scanning confocal microscope that is capable of tunable emission spectral detection. It is equipped with a Galvano and a Resonant scanner that allows both high resolution and fast speed imaging. The system has a wide range of objectives ranging from 10x to 100x. The extra CLARITY optics (25x objective) enable unprecedented levels of in-depth optical sectioning of thick tissue.

Capabilities:

  1. 2D and 3D imaging (with 3D reconstruction feature)
  2. Live and fixed sample (No environmental control)
  3. FRAP
  4. Line scan
  5. Tile scan /Large image stitching
  6. Multi-position imaging

Lasers (nm): 405, 488, 514, 552, 638

Scanners:

  1. Traditional Galvo scan
  2. 1k x 1k Resonant scan

Detectors

  1. Two fluorescent PMTs
  2. Two HyD detectors (Faster and high sensitivity)
  3. One transmitted light PMT.
  4. Spectral Detection (Tunable emission wavelength)
