The new resin based printer has the ability to print in several materials, and will be used for rapid prototyping, molecular modeling, and creating machining fixtures, as well as production of final parts where applicable.  A class 2 biocompatbile resin will be released this year for use the printer as well.  The microscope parts below for the Dong lab in Neuroscience were printed in less than twelve hours for $0.17, where each part would have taken over 48 hours to machine individually.  Talk to the shop about how we can use this new technology to your advantage!
